Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. It has been such a pleasure getting to know you and Lawrence and I was blessed to be able to care for him in rehab, I love you all like my own family . I hope to see you;) know that Lawrence is in a better place and God has wrapped his arms around him and you.

Lawrence's Obituary

KRAUSS, LAWRENCE H., 98 of Louisville died Monday, September 29, 2014 at Parkway Medical Center. He was a World War II Veteran of the Army, where he was decorated with the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service. He was a retired Stock Checker for Ford Motor Company with 40 years of service. He was a long time member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and later St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and a 50 year member of the St. Joseph Orphans Society. He was married for 69 wonderful years on September 15, 1945 to the love of his life, the former Mary A. Salvagne who survives him. Also surviving are his beloved daughter, Suzanne Schmidt, grandson, Erich Schmidt (Allison), great granddaughter, Amelia Schmidt, great grandson, Wesley Schmidt, sister in law, Ida Salvagne, nieces and nephews, John A. & Pauline Salvagne, Joseph L. & Cheryl Salvagne, Mary A. Lamon, Margaret A. Preston, Earl J. Preher, Arthur Preher, Deloris Steitz, Kenneth & Patsy Hill, Bonnie Jean & David Dillon, Linda & William Beam, Frances & Ray Gerlock, Frank Salvagne, Marian Miller and friends and neighbors. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Friday, October 3, 2014 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 1020 East Burnett Avenue with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM till 8 PM Thursday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. Expressions of sympathy may go to Mass of the Air or the Home of the Innocent.
