Lawrence J. McRae, Sr.

Lawrence J. McRae, Sr., 78 of Oswego passed away Friday July 31, at St. Luke Health Service, Inc.
He was born in Syracuse and was the son of the late Homer and Kathleen Higgins McRae.
Mr. McRae was the husband of Bonnie Nearbin McRae who died November 11, 2014.
He had been employed for 44 years as a papermaker with the Marathon Company and later with Hammermill International.
Mr. McRae was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp.
He is survived by two daughters Tammy (Andy) Brashier of Tennessee, Theresa (Neil) Cliff of Oswego, two stepdaughters Alice (Mike Szymamski) VanBuren and Kellie (Carolyn Kelly) Thompson both of Oswego, two sons Lawrence J. (Pam) McRae, Jr. of Scriba, Leonard Preeman of Oswego, one stepson Joseph (Mandy McQuinness) Thompson of Oswego, one sister Evelyn McRae of Pulaski, twelve, grandchildren including two special granddaughters Ashley (Jason) Goodwin and Jaime Thompson, 12 Great grandchildren.
Mr. McRae was predeceased by one son Mark McRae, four brothers William McRae, Adelbert McRae, Robert McRae, James McRae, two sisters Betty Lou Brown and Patricia Hammond.
Calling hours Tuesday 5-7PM with a funeral service to follow at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Wednesday 11:00AM.
