LeeRoy Marquez Obituary

LeeRoy Marquez, 66, of Midland, Texas, entered eternal rest on January 18, 2026. He was born on January 13, 1960 in McCamey TX, and lived a life defined by love, service, and devotion to family.

Lee Roy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was defined by love, loyalty, and unwavering faith. On April 25, 1981, he married the love of his life, Eva Marquez, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in family, hard work, and deep spiritual strength. Their marriage was a testament to commitment and resilience, and their home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and generosity.

He took immense pride in being a father, guiding his sons with patience, wisdom, and a steady example of what it means to be a good man. He is lovingly remembered by his sons: Abel and wife Emily, Gabriel and wife Cecilia, Adriel and wife Daisy, and Xavier and wife Krystal. His legacy continues through them, and through every life he touched with his kindness and quiet strength.

He is survived by his siblings Noe Marquez, and his wife Crystal Marquez, Robert Jr. and wife Priscilla, and sister Jessica; his grandchildren Julianna, Maci, Blake, Giovanni, Ace, Maddox, Lilliana, Gabriella, Izaiah, Maddison, Gisselle, Keiara, Luis, Alaina, Izavier, and Kevin; and his great-grandchildren Aiden, David, Stella Rose, and Ezrael.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Robert Marquez.

LeeRoy wore many hats throughout his life, working as a custodian, restaurant owner, beautician, and caretaker. He was hardworking, intelligent, artistic, and deeply passionate—a man whose creative spirit touched everything he did. He loved baking cakes and biscochos, and he was known for having the best cinnamon roll recipe around. His talents extended to cooking, reading, sewing, drawing, painting, and, of course, playing the drums. He truly embodied the phrase “jack of all trades.” He also enjoyed the excitement of a good trip to the casino, always embracing the fun of the moment. Above all, his greatest joy came from supporting his grandchildren —attending their games, cheering at their award ceremonies, and celebrating every milestone. Being part of their lives was his proudest accomplishment.

LeeRoy’s life was a gift to all who knew him, and his memory will live on through the generations he so deeply loved.
