2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Marie Pezo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 20, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, Linda was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Pauline Michalik, who instilled in her a deep sense of family and tradition.
Linda’s life was a tapestry woven with love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. She graduated from Alliance College and built a life defined by her passions and her dedication to those she loved. For over 51 years, Linda was the devoted wife of Michael Pezo, with whom she shared countless memories, adventures, trips, and a profound bond that only deepened over the decades.
Her family was her pride and joy. Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Michael, her children Laura Chapman (Jeremy), Mark Pezo (Taylor), and Michael Pezo (Nadine), who all carry forward the values of kindness, generosity, and community service that she exemplified. Linda’s legacy continues through her adored grandchildren—Jacob, Zachary, Leo, Luka, Gabriel, and Mikey—who brought her immense joy and happiness. She cherished every moment spent with them, ensuring they were introduced to both family and Polish traditions, which were so dear to her heart. Linda is also survived by her sister-in-law and her husband Mary Ann (Andy) Kuilder, and a niece and two nephews.
Throughout her life, Linda was deeply committed to her community. She generously volunteered her time to the Cleveland Polka Association and the United States Polka Association, fostering a love for music and dance that brought people together. A longtime member and former Sunday School teacher at St. Columbkille Parish in Parma, OH, Linda continued her spiritual journey with membership at St. Cyprian Parish in Perry, OH, and Saint Bernadette Parish in Lancaster, OH. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, inspiring those around her and enriching her community. Linda was a true sports fan for her grandsons (hardly ever missed a game) and supported Mike's dedication to sports officiating.
Linda also found joy in nurturing the next generation as a scout and Brownie leader for her children, instilling values of leadership and friendship in them. Her hobbies were simple yet profound, centered around family gatherings, sharing stories, and celebrating life’s milestones with those she loved.
As we remember Linda, we reflect on the warmth of her smile, the kindness in her heart, and the strength of her spirit. She was a woman who touched the lives of many, and her legacy of love, community service, and family devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
