Linda Proctor

Linda Lane Settles Proctor, 82, wife of Kenneth Wesley Proctor, passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born November 2, 1943, in Washington County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Barnett Settles and Opal Mae Bottoms Settles.

Linda was a member of Bohon Christian Church in Harrodsburg and a woman of deep and abiding faith. Her faith guided her life and was evident in the kindness and compassion she showed to others.

She dedicated her career to healthcare, serving others with skill and empathy. Above all, Linda was a loving and devoted caregiver to her family, whom she cherished deeply. Her life was marked by selflessness, strength, and an unwavering love for those closest to her.

In addition to her beloved husband of 66 years, Kenneth Proctor, Linda is survived by one son, Kenny (Gracie) Proctor of London, Kentucky; three daughters, Angela Naylor (Wayne Humphries) of Melbourne, Australia, Janet (Danny) McEntyre of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Gayle (Tom) Smith of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Proctor; six brothers; and four sisters.

A private graveside service will be held at Lawrenceburg Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating.
