Linda Waggonner Obituary

Linda Ann (Goodman) Waggonner, 77,  passed away June 2 at her home in Tyler, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born on the farm of her beloved grandmother in Sarepta, Louisiana on February 22, 1942 to C.W. "Bill" and Maxine (Cox) Goodman.

Linda attended Benton High School, in Benton Louisiana where she met her future husband Jackie. "Jackie + Linda" became childhood sweethearts and became inseparable. They later married while in college and were happily married for 58 years. "Mommo" enjoyed traveling, nature, and wildlife; something that she shared with her family through a lifetime of memorable trips and adventures. Her greatest joy was showing her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, the wonder and beauty of places like Big Bend, Beaver's Bend, and Queen Wilhelmina. Under her influence, Linda passed on a love and respect for nature that will be forever cherished and continued by her family.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Goodman of Benton, Louisiana. She is survived by her loving husband, Jackie Waggonner; son, Mark Waggonner and wife, Martha of Tyler;  daughter, Mary Creath and husband, Greg of Tyler; son, Paul Waggonner of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Walker Waggonner, Mary Helen Henson and husband, Logan, Calley Waggonner, Foster Creath, and Amanda Creath all from Tyler. She is also survived by great-granddaughter, Raelyn Henson of Tyler; sister, Jane Carter of Georgetown, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Linda will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Rev. Greg Creath officiating, under direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home, Tyler.
