Lisa Dewees Belcher Obituary

Lisa Dewees Belcher 60, of Dade City, FL passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born December 22, 1958 in Dade City, FL to Harold Wayne & Jeanette Pinkston Sasser and was a lifelong area resident. She was a Social Worker for 40 years with the Pasco County School Board and attended the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee. She was a member of the National Barrel Horse Association, a former member of the Florida High School Rodeo and worked for 28 years with the Spunk Sasser Horse Camp.


Lisa is survived by her husband: Mike Belcher, mother: Jeanette Sasser, brother: Spunk & Kelley Sasser, son: Dakota Belcher, grandson: Layton Moesching and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Lara Dewees, her father: Harold "Fat Daddy" Sasser, and grandparents:  Mr. & Mrs. John Pinkston and Mr. & Mrs. Vig Sasser.


Funeral Services will be held 4pm Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Lacoochee. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her memory to First Baptist Church of Lacoochee.

Lisa touched everyone she met. We met her when my son started prek 7 years ago and then were blessed to have her again for my daughter. Lisa and I have been friends since Jr high. Even though years have past not seeing one another I have always considered her my dear friend. Lisa will always be remembered by me.
