“Loving Mom, Grandma, Sister and Dedicated Friend”
Mrs. Lisa A. (Nangle) Washing, 64, entered into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Masonicare of Wallingford. Prior to passing, she had a brave battle for her health for months against cancer thanks to the love and support of her family and friends.
Lisa was born on June 16, 1953 in Bridgeport, CT to the late William J. and late Mary A. (Heck) Nangle. She was married to the late Brad Washing.
Lisa was a proud employee of the phone company for over 20 years as she observed changes in not only name (Southern Bell, SNET, AT&T, etc), but also in the technological capabilities of phones. She started out as an operator and due to an unsurpassed work ethic, she advanced taking on many roles through the years. Her proudest moments on the job came with repairing lines up on telephone poles and consulting with business owners to determine appropriate placement of payphones.
Lisa leaves behind her son: William J. Cain and his wife Rachel of Orange, CT and her daughter: Malisa Bush of Bridgeport, CT. She also leaves behind her siblings: Mary L. Floyd and her husband, Bobby of Stratford and: William J. Nangle and his wife Aimee of Oxford. In addition, Lisa leaves behind the highlight of her life, her three grandchildren: Vivian Cain, Sydney Cain and Tyler Cain. Lisa was predeceased by her granddaughter, Niala Cain.
Arrangements: A service honoring Lisa will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 6:30pm at Chase Parkway Memorial (Albini Family Funeral Home), 430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT. Calling hours are beforehand from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
