Lois McKeand Obituary
Lois A. McKeand, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on March 20, 2025. She was born in Plains Township the daughter of the late Miner and Minnie Trethaway Roberts. In 1946 she moved to Parsons and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1951. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Social Security Administration in Wilkes-Barre.
She attended the Parsons Primitive Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. McKeand; sister-in-law, Louise Cunningham and her husband John.
Surviving are her son Robert Earle McKeand and his wife Courtney, Mobile, AL; sister June Gardner, Wilkes-Barre; granddaughters, Kyrsten McKeand and Arwen McKeand; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Allied Services, 200 Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by Pastor Roxy Moses. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 - 10:00 at the chapel.
