Loren Edward Parduhn
March 6, 1965 – May 2, 2025
Loren Edward Parduhn, age 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 2, 2025. Loren was born on March 6, 1965 in Gary, Indiana to the late Arnold and Grace (née Treviño) Parduhn. He was a long time resident of Lake Station, where he built a home filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories.
Known for his beautiful singing voice, incredible sense of humor, and the ability to convey a joke with just a glance, Loren was also a man of great heart and many interests. He was a true music lover, with a deep appreciation for every genre. He enjoyed everything from orchestra to jazz to classic rock. His curiosity and passion extended to a wide variety of topics, including trains, cars, planes, the history of Chicagoland architecture, woodworking, and cooking. Loren also loved to watch old movies with his wife, Margie, and often dreamed of traveling the country together in a large coach. His family states that his superior sense of direction & love of driving were two of their favorite things about him.
Above all, Loren was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took great pride in his children’s accomplishments and treasured every moment spent with family. His warm laugh and wit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Margie (née Ondo) Parduhn; sons Loren A. (Desirae) Parduhn and Dillon (Abreal) Parduhn; daughters Brandy (John) Hernandez and Kristin (Dylan) Jackson; and nine beautiful grandchildren: Grayson, Oliver, Mia, Crosby, Layla, Audrey, Jack, Oktober, and Holly. He is also survived by his brother Wayne (Elaine) Parduhn and sister Gail Hillgoth.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Grace Parduhn; his brother, Ron Parduhn; and his in-laws, Bill and Norma Ondo.
