Lorraine Hinson Obituary
Visitation for Lorraine L. Hinson, 89, of Round Lake Park, Illinois will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 23 at Kristen Funeral Home 219 W. Maple Ave. Mundelein. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm.
Lorraine was born August 26, 1936 in Neilsville, Wisconsin to Charles and Verna Hoeck and passed away on December 17, 2025 in Lincolnshire, Illinois
She was married in 1957 to the love of her life in Medford, Wisconsin. They then moved to Hassell, North Carolina while he finished his Army enlistment. They then moved to Lake County, Illinois where she lived out her life.
She enjoyed doing word searches, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. She loved nothing more than being with her multi generational family.
She is survived by 4 sisters, Mary Rudolph, Grace Brehm, Pauline Brehm and Joan Brehm all of Wisconsin, 4 children Jacquelyn (Ken) Shannon of Caddo Mills, Texas, Trish (Glenn) Ponczkowski of Round Lake Park, Illinois, Rhonda (Mark) Olk of Fon du Lac Wisconsin and Andy (Faye) Hinson of Mundelein, Illinois, 9 Grandchildren Keith, Mel, Christina, Jennifer, Tony, Cora, Beth, Michael and Michelle, 16 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Warren Wade Hinson, 2 sisters Louisa Howsden and Annabelle Corl, 3 brothers Earl Hoeck, Archie Hoeck and Harvey Hoeck, a Grandson Benjamin Shannon and a Great Grandson Simon Shannon.
God granted her a long and happy life, full of love for her family and friends. For that we are eternally thankful and blessed.

I visited with Lorraine when she would come up to visit her cousin Leona Meyer. We lived next door to Leona. We always had a nice visit.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Larraine’s passing. Growing up next door to the Hinsons was a privilege; they were wonderful neighbors. I will always remember how kind and tolerant Larraine was of the tornado of boy energy we brought into her home. Wishing you peace and joyful memories.
