Mamie Ruth Howell

1938 - 2026

A celebration of life for Mamie Ruth Howell age 88 of Neches, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Westwood Methodist Church with Rev. David Daviss officiating. A visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. prior to service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Howell passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 in Palestine. She was born January 16, 1938 in Neches, Texas to Pete Howell and Ora Perkins Howell. She grew up in Neches then went with her husband Mitchel to Houston for his job. She then took a job as a bookkeeper so they could fulfill their dream of retiring young enough to travel North America.

Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers James and Aubrey Howell. She is survived by her sons Chris and Steven Howell and grandchildren Tanner and Caitlin Howell.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tanner Howell, Chris Howell, Steven Howell, Darren Goodman, and Robert Penn.
