Manuel Cameron Obituary

Manuel Cameron was born November 4, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Willie Marshall Cameron and Josephine McCloud Cameron, (both deceased). Manuel is the eldest of four children born to this union. He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Primas Cameron.

In 1967 Manuel and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York. Manuel acquired his educational experience at South Shore High School, later attending New York Technical College. Manuel continued his educational experience by joining the United States Navy in 1987. He served as an honorable member for fifteen years. During this time of service, he received the following military honors: THIRD GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL ENDING APR95, NAVY EDXPEDITIONARY MEDAL, BATTLE E WARD (2), SOUTHWEST ASIS SERVICE MEDAL W/1 BRONZE STAR, NATIONAL DEFENSE SERVICE MEDAL, and SEA SERVICE DEPLOYMENT RIBBON W/2 BRONE STARS.

Manuels naval experience allowed him to travel to many different parts of the world, which explains his passion for people and life. These passions are demonstrated by his continued friendships with his military partners. Manuels military background has also contributed to his expertise as a Mechanical Engineer.

While attending Arthur Sommers Junior High School, Manuel learned to read music and to play the trumpet. This experience is where his love of music began. Music was his highest passion. Manuels love for music contributed to his participation as member of a local band. Manuel played the trumpet, but discovered that he also enjoyed the keyboard. Manuels love for music includes his vast collection of different artists music, which he loved to share with others. If you wanted to know the name of song or the artist or record label, Manuel was the person to ask. It was his pleasure to provide you with a CD of your favorite songs.

Manuel departed this life on March 20, 2012, in Charleston, SC. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Manuel is survived by: his children, Michelle Campbell and her husband Jihad, Kenya Taylor, and Mai Cameron and her mother, Yvonne Diann Brown; siblings, Charles E. Cameron and Deborah A. Barnes and her husband Oran; five granddaughters, Deborah-Nicole, Nykia, Kyra, Kiana and Jannah; nieces, Kimberly, Tierra and Oranda; nephew, Laquan; and a host of other relatives and friends.

TO THE CAMERON FAMILY:
Our deepest condolences go out to you in the recent death of your loved one.
We had the pleasure of meeting "Cameron" through our nephew Bernard Armstrong.
Cameron was a man of integrity, character and perseverance. He was kind, caring, thoughtful and always willing to help out if he could.
One could say "angelic" in a way, therefore, he's in Heaven with the angels where there are no more trials and tribulations. Celebrate his life and look to JESUS as we do! HE is your peace refuge at this time.

Manny was a wonderful person. He was a great son, brother, cousin, and uncle. He was a great father to his daughters. Manny was very close to his family. I remember his last trip to ny. He was at the new casino in queens he called me to meet him. As I arrived to the casino he hit the jack-pot. He said l've been loosing all day. As soon as I see my family im a winner. Manny so true, you are always a winner to us. I will always miss u and love you. 3

To my family we are really gonna be missing a jewel. Manny was such a wonderful and caring man. He was more like a brother to me than a cousin. He was a person when you met him, there was a lasting impression. God blessed him with a big heart. He had great compassion for others family and friends alike. So now that his assignment here on earth is done. We thank God for the time He share him with us.
