Marcus Crawford Obituary
Marcus Lamont Crawford, 32, of Waynesboro passed away peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
He was born July 12, 1988 in Charlottesville, Virginia to Alton “Ron” F. Crawford and Leta Y. Richardson.
He graduated from Waynesboro High School.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Melvin F. Crawford and maternal grandparents, Floyd Richardson, Jr. and Linda Murphy.
He is survived by his beloved parents; fiancé, Sarha M. Suarez Nunez; two brothers, Carlos Richardson and Jordan Crawford; paternal grandmother, Anna L. Crawford; 13 aunts and uncles, Trey Richardson, Nathaniel Richardson, Elliott Richardson, Adrian Carter, Nicole Richardson, Tireana Anderson, Rhea Richardson, Patrice R. Stokes (Sterling), Angela D. Washington, Anthony L Crawford, Melvin Anetta Keys (Riley), Barbara A. White (Jacques) and Allen E. Crawford; would have been future mother-in-law, Silvana Nunez; two future sisters-in-law, Emily and Camila Suarez Nunez; devoted family and friends, DAkota Timberlake, Nathaniel Richardson, Kevin Clark, Truth Crawford, Kenyatta M. Crawford, Nicole Richardson and Jermain “Texas” Hall; four lovable doggies, Benji, Tango, Nina and Tupac; a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Staunton, Virginia. Public viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the local American Heart Association.

Marcus you were such a fine young man, who could always brighten anyone's day with that beautiful smile and kindness. You always had something positive to say, always had your goals on your mind. Your love for your mom and brother was remarkable. I will treasure all the times we talk and your positive attitude. Thanks for always encouraging my sons! Fly high our dear friend. Hard to believe this is the reality we live in.
