Margie Davidson Lee Obituary

Margie Faye Davidson Lee, 80, formerly of Greenville, Texas,  passed away in California on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Margie Faye Davidson Lee was born in Greenville, Texas to the parentage of Lillian Birdine and Elbert Davidson, Sr. on Friday, September 28, 1945.  She was one of three children - Elbert Davidson, Jr. and Willie Davidson - and the only girl.  She received  her formal education from schools in the Greenville School District - Booker T. Washington Elementary, Frederick Douglass Elementary Schools and George Washington Carver High School.  She also attended Saint Paul High School in the Neylandville School District, where she graduated.  She was a member of Wesley Chapel C. M. E. Church and also attended services at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Sugarland, where her faith was strengthened in Christianity and the word of God.

Margie’s working career included Texas Instruments and AT&T in Dallas.  Her first marriage, to the late Lawrence Harten Lee, built a family with two sons - Lawrence, Jr. “Z-ro” and Ken.  She had her one and only daughter, Lakiea, with father, L. J. Harper.  After her second marriage to Ernest Martin, Margie relocated to Los Angeles, California in the mid-eighties, where she extended her family through in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.

Loved ones left to cherish Margie’s precious memory:  a daughter, Lakiea; two sons, Lawrence “Z-ro” and Ken; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends in California and Texas who will never forget her.
