Loving Mother & Grandmother


Mrs. Maria (Pilla) Capozzi, 88, of Wolcott, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Sebastiano Capozzi.

Mrs. Capozzi was born in Santa Croce DelSannio, Benevento, Italy, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina ( Saccomanno) Pilla. She came to this country in 1968 and was a communicant of St. Lucy's Church. She was employed at the Hilda Dress Company until she retired.

She leaves, two sons, Angelo Capozzi and his wife Arlene, Antonio Capozzi and his wife Joanne all of Wolcott, a daughter, Rita Kegyes and her husband Zoltan of Watertown, two sisters, Gina Capozzi and her husband Michele of Waterbury and Fernanda Prozzo of Southbury, six grandchildren, Mary Capozzi, Joseph Arthur, Cathy Capozzi, Jennifer Cerullo, Antonio Capozzi Jr. and Angela Capozzi.

Funeral will be held Thursday 10 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway to St. Lucy's Church for a Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Calling hour Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
