Marie Lillian Ullsmith

1917 - 2015

Marie Lillian Ullsmith, 98, of Lake in the Hills, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2015. She was born in Chicago on March 11, 1917 to Michael and Mary (nee Pallack) Pecenka.

Marie was a devoted wife to William, who preceded her in death in 1964, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who also found time to volunteer at a senior center for 20 years.

She is survived by her children, Geraldine Kubalek, William (Joyce) Ullsmith, Russell Ullsmith, and Gene Ullsmith; grandchildren, John (Karen) Ullsmith, David Ullsmith, Traci (John) Raadsen, and Christopher Ullsmith; great grandchildren, Victoria, Riley, Charlie, Emily, Natalie, Raegan, Sean, Katie, and Brandon.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry and Georgiana; son-in-law, Emil Kubalek; grandchildren, Nicole and Robert; and great-granddaughter, Amanda.

A time of visitation will be Monday, December 7, 2015 from 10 am until 12 noon at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte 176), Crystal Lake. Marie will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Forest Park.
