Mrs. Crowther taught us (SHS graduating class of 2002) U.S. History and Religion. She is fondly remembered as a devoted teacher and member of the Sacred Heart community. I vividly remember her smile and how she also served as an extraordinary Eucharistic minister at Mass during the school week. Although she was not my homeroom teacher, she instilled in me a love for history which lasts to this day. May she rest in peace in the Lord's eternal kingdom, and may her family and loved ones be comforted.

Mrs Crowther taught me Social Studies back in the 1970’s at Sacred Heart. I was in the same class as her daughter Diane. When my daughter was at Sacred Heart (flash forward over 50 years) lo and behold Mrs Crowther was her substitute teacher more often than not. What an incredible legacy. God bless and my deepest condolences to her family

Oh Mrs Crowther- my favorite Social Studies teacher who I knew you either wrote the history book or memorized both books word for word! What a smart lady! I am a history lover because of you and the way you taught us. I can still hear you tell the tales of war, Indians and The Underground Railroad. Your stern looks, quiet wit, and love of your students made you one of the great ones! When Michael John and I had a paper fight, you made us write a report and yet somehow, it wasn’t even punishment. We would do anything for you and we turned it in with a smile. And you smiled back - well kinda. lol When you were my chaperone for our 8th grade trip to Disney, you became a kid for us to have fun and even put on our punk sunglasses and Walkman (I will get that photo to post lol). When your husband passed away, I subbed for your class that month and began to know you as a person, not just my teacher. My love and respect grew even more! I thank you for being an integral part of my life and a bright light in my childhood memories. I thank you for being a role model for many and just the incredible human you emulated to all you met! My most respect and love to you- well done good and faithful servant!

I worked with Marilyn and she also taught my two children at Sacred Heart. I alway enjoyed chatting with her in the morning, while getting coffee in the teachers lounge and anytime I passed her on the sidewalk. She was an excellent teacher, and the favorite of many students including mine. My condolences and sending prayers to her family.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I had her for my teacher at Sacred Heart back in the 80's. She was kind and had a love to teach and share knowledge with all her students.
May GOD be with all her family members during this time. May HE bring you a sense of Peace and Comfort. In Jesus's Holy name I pray.
