Age ~ 88
Marilyn Nygard (Eplett) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 13, 2025, in Hurley, Wisconsin. She was 88 years old.
Born on September 6, 1936, Marilyn grew up in Ironwood, Michigan and graduated with the Ironwood High School Class of 1954. Married Ronald H. Nygard September 4, 1954. Known for her sharp mind and kind heart, Marilyn built a respected career in tax preparation, becoming a trusted and familiar presence in her community. Her dedication to her clients and her meticulous attention to detail earned her a reputation for excellence and integrity.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ron and daughter Renee. As well as her brothers Ralph, Robert, David, and Donald and one special sister, Ann Slanzi. Survived by daughters, Jane (Martin) Polimus, Tina (John) Olkonen, and Ronda (Bill) Olkonen, son, Ronnie (Kristi) Nygard, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
A service will be held by the family at Wesley United Methodist Church (Ironwood, MI) on Monday, April 21, with visitation from 10:30-11am and the service at 11am.
