Marion (Famiglietti) Iannicelli age 90 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on May 25, 2018 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Adolph A. “Big Al” Iannicelli; her husband of 70 years before his passing on April 8, 2018.


 


Marion was born June 21, 1927 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Felix and Dora (Stango) Famiglietti. She was a graduate of Wilby High School Class of 1944. Upon graduating, Marion worked at the Oakville Pin Shop for several years. Prior to her retirement in 1989, Marion was employed as a bank teller at the former Waterbury Savings and Loan, and Center Bank where she worked for many years. Marion loved cooking and baking, trips to the casino, playing cards in the “Card Club” with friends and neighbors, she spent many of her retirement years driving friends, family and neighbors to various appointments and day trips. Marion, who was blessed with the gift of gab, was most happy when she was surrounded by and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church where she volunteered for the church Bazaar for many years.


 


She leaves her children Donald P. Iannicelli and his wife, Lori, of Plantsville, Richard P. Iannicelli and his wife, Joyce, of Waterbury, and Gary M. Iannicelli and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Cromwell, a daughter, Nancy J. Klein and her husband, John, of East Islip, N.Y., eight grandchildren, Jillian Iannicelli, Daniel Iannicelli, John Klein (Laura), Julie Burland (John), Nicholas Iannicelli (Rosie), Michael Klein (Gia), Alyson Iannicelli, and James Iannicelli, and Marion’s first great grandson, John James. She was predeceased by a brother Philip Famiglietti.


 


Arrangements: A funeral service will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.  A calling hour will be held Saturday, from 11 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home.
