Marion Porter

PORTER, Mr. Marion - age 74, of Flint, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Saturday, August 11, 2018 with a 2:30pm family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Rev. Mitchell Middleton officiating.  Calling hours are 1:00pm-7:00pm Friday, August 10, 2018 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Marion Porter was born August 22, 1943 in Mobile, Alabama the son of Jack Porter and Ellen Hubbard. Marion worked at the Country Club of Mobile, Alabama for 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and partying with his family and friends.

Mr. Porter leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Loretta Porter of Mobile, AL, children: Derrell Porter, Kimberly Porter, Tawanda Green-Porter, Reginal Porter, Harold Williams and Gianne Harris all of Mobile, AL, AuDre Dallas of Detroit, MI; a host of grandchildren; sisters, Jacqueline Robinson of Flint, MI and Pamela Chenault of Detroit, MI; nephews, Errick Mayfield, Derrick Mayfield and Leroy Robinson; nieces, Darlene, Sharon and Felicia Robinson; a host of uncles and aunts.


Mr. Marion Porter was preceded in death by: father, Jack Porter; mother, Ellen Hubbard; son, Marion Porter Jr.; grandfather, Abraham Hubbard and grandmother, Abbie Hubbard.
