Marion Rodgers

1934 - 2026

RODGERS, MARION, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at The Pines of Goodrich.

Cremation has taken place through Swartz Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Marion requested no final memorial service. 

Marion was born December 12, 1934, in Flint. She was one of 12 children born to Robert S. and Clara J. Simpson and was of Scottish decent on her father's side. 

Marion graduated from Central High School. Marion worked as a bookkeeper with General Motors until her retirement. 

She enjoyed league bowling for a number of years and enthusiastically joined other family members for several rounds of dominoes whenever a group could be gathered together.

Marion was assisted by her nephew, Brian White, during the last few years 

of her life. She had the comfort of a devoted companion, Harold Selensky, 

during her years at Abbey Park Independent Living. 

Marion was preceded in death by her eleven siblings. Her nephew acknowledges the end of a family era of interesting aunts and uncles. 

Marion will be missed!
