Mark N. Reuss, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 17, 2021. He was born on March 23, 1947 to Philip and Virginia Reuss and resided in Neenah. Mark proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from ’65 to ’68. He went on to become a patrol officer for the Neenah Police Department from ’74 to ’00. Mark married Susan Miller on September 25, 1965 and enjoyed 55 years together. He treasured the 21 years of retirement with his wife. Together they enjoyed boating, camping, spending time at their cabin, and spending the winters in Florida. What Mark loved most of all though was spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Reuss; daughter, Marnie (Bruce) Updike; forever daughter-in-law, Nancy (Jim) Chicoine; grandchildren: Brittany (John Bera) Reuss, Sami Reuss, Angela (John Brooks) Nelson, Jake (Megan) Nelson; great-grandchild, Jaelyn Markly; siblings: Dolly Meyer, Tom (Joan) Reuss, John (Molly) Reuss; along with other relatives and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his son, Mark Reuss Jr. and parents, Philip and Virginia Reuss.
A private memorial service will be held at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home.

Mark has been a wonderful friend since we were 16 years old. He always had a way of aggravating me and then we’d both laugh and try to figure out how to irritate each other again. We had a friendship that was always comfortable, kind and loving. I will miss him always but feel blessed to have had this special man as my friend.

Sue, I am so sorry for your lost. I just talked to him a couple months ago and had some great laughs. Mark was my laision in high school and my law enforcement partner for years. We use to get mad at each other when we took a vacation and lost our automatic backing up each other. The laughs we had were priceless. Mark was a great guy and will be missed!!!!
