Mark Steven Whitaker passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 56. He was born on Tuesday, October 4, 1966, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Helena Elizabeth Masset Whitaker and Emile Anthony Whitaker, Jr. and resided in Hammond.  

Mark is survived by his daughter, Kristy Rene' Adams; siblings; Mary W. Storey (Tony), Emile A. Whitaker, III, Susan W. Asaro (Robert J.), Donna W. Wallace, Terri W. Pritchett, and Ginger M. Landry.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  

Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Helena and Emile Whitaker, Jr.
