Mary Jeanne Girard, age 71, of Wayne, Michigan passed away on January 21st, 2026. Mary was born on December 27th, 1954 the daughter of Alvin and Agnes (Ptacek) Girard.

I got to know Jeanne (I didn't know her by Mary) when my Mom and her Dad became friends. Jeanne was WONDERFUL to my Mom..treated her like a Mom. She was good and kind to all of our family. Also, her long-term partner, John, was always part of everything. She will be missed. I hope she is up in heaven having a great time with her Mom, her Dad, her young sister and my Mom!!

Jeanne, my dear and wonderful friend whom I met when I was a freshman at U of M. I will hold in memory traveling with you to California, Massachusetts, and Quebec City,Canada, the deep conversations, and all of the laughs that you and Jan and I had, your lovely singing voice, your wise council on resumes and employment decisions, and you as a beautiful bridesmaid at my wedding to Dave.
I will miss you so very much!
