Mary L. Griebe

1942 - 2022

Mary passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at her residence with her family by her side at the age of 80. She was born to the late James and Irma (Wilson) Stead on February 13, 1942 in Bay City, Michigan. Mary was always willing to help other people, she enjoyed listening and dancing to music, sewing and loved to clean.

 

Mary is survived by her children, Calvin Griebe and Renee Griebe; three grandchildren, Kris Griebe, Adrienne (Kevin) Wilson and Sabrina Slack; great grandchildren, Rylee Schade and Arlo Wilson; sister-in-laws, Patricia (Ambrose) Jacobs, Rebecca Griebe (Ralph) Spotts and Karidad; brother-in-law, David H. Griebe; daughter-in-law, Donna Griebe; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Carl C. Griebe; life partner of 27 years, John Livingston; son, Kurt Griebe; sisters, Doris (“Buck”-Orrin) Snider, Hazel (Aubery) Bissonnette, Erma (Gerald) Snyder, Wilma (Raul) Gagner, Laura (LeRoy) McCaulley, Beulah (Ray) Johnson and Belva Geiser; brothers, James (Ida) Stead and Kenneth Stead; sister-in-law, Alice Mae (Vernan) Locke.

 

At the request of Mary, Cremation has taken place and a burial will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be considered to wishes of the family.
