Mary Hill Obituary
Mary Freeman Hill, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away peacefully January 23,2026.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lannie Everett Godfrey; her second husband, William Duke Hill; and her siblings, W.D. Freeman, Joe Freeman, and Alvonia Funderburk.
She is survived by her sons, Lannie Joe Godfrey and his wife, Susan Wilson Godfrey, and Ernest Jerome Godfrey and his wife, Elizabeth Blanton Godfrey. She is also survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home in Shelby, North Carolina, on Thursday, January 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, South Carolina, at 3:00 p.m.
Mary will be remembered for her love for her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
