Mary Kimberlin Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mary Frances Kimberlin of Blue Springs, Missouri, who left us on September 18, 2025, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. She was 73 years old.

Mary Frances was born on June 22, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, as the eldest of four daughters of Vito and Eva Margaret Belfonte. A graduate of Raytown High School, she worked for eighteen years at All-Star Awards and Ad Specialties until her retirement in 2015. Mary was an active member of St. John LaLande Catholic Church in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Mary was a vibrant soul who embraced life and cherished the people around her. With her warm heart and infectious smile, she could light up any room. Family gatherings were her favorite, where laughter and love flowed freely. She had a passion for travel, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories. An artist at heart, her creative talent shone through in everything she did, bringing beauty to the world around her.

Above all else, she was devoted to her family. Mary is survived by her husband, Scott Kimberlin; her daughter, Eva Schubert (Adrian); her granddaughters, Genavieve and Coraline; her sisters, Theresa Tovar (Jose), Jennifer Wallace (Richard), and Ann Martin (Andrew); and she was preceded in death by her parents, Vito and Eva Margaret Belfonte.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the dedicated team at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided throughout her journey. We are also profoundly thankful to ACG Hospice for the kindness and dignity they showed in her final days. Your tireless efforts brought comfort and peace to her and our family, for which we will be forever grateful.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, at St. John LaLande Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
