     Mary Lou Schaefer

 

              Age 93 of DeKalb, IL, died on Friday November 23, 2018 in the DeKalb County Rehab. And Nursing Center in DeKalb. She was born on June 14, 1925 in Bloomington, IL, and was the daughter of Adlai and Florence (Barry) Rust.

              Mary Lou was married to the late Henry Schaefer on December 4, 1948 in Bloomington, IL, he preceded her in death on January 10, 2002. Mary Lou was a loving homemaker and a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee, IL.

              Survivors include: son: Adlai (Terri) Schaefer of Rochelle, daughters: Kathy Schaefer of Laguna Beach, CA, Ann (Steve) Newquist of Campton Hills, IL, grandchildren: Michael (Megan) McSchaefer, David (Charity) Schaefer, Rebecca (Tom) Brown, Zach Schaefer, Tyler (Tessa) Schaefer, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: parents, husband: Henry, son: Henry, brothers: Edward and Adlai.

              Funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at 11:30 am in the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee, IL, with Pastor Martha Nelson officiating. Burial will follow services in the Union Cemetery next to the church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2018 from 10:30am till the time of the service in the church.
