Mary Brent Marcilliat, a long-time resident of Pace, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2025. Born on February 16, 1959 to Joann Hart and Robert Brown, Mary spent her formative years in many different places due to her father’s career in the U.S. Navy. Along with her future husband, Mark Marcilliat, she attended Woodham High School in Pensacola. The two were wed in 1979 and celebrated their 46th anniversary last month. Mary’s chosen profession was nursing, which aligned perfectly with three of her finest attributes – her patience, kindness, and compassion. After working many years as an RN, she returned to school and earned her master’s in health informatics. She spent the most recent years of her career implementing new healthcare systems in HCA hospitals around the country. The epitome of a selfless giver, Mary was a gentle spirit who loved her family deeply. Her true joy was her children, their partners, whom she loved as if they were her own, and her grandchildren. Mary was a whiz in the kitchen, an avid reader, and a lifelong explorer, finding joy in new cultures, technology, and travel.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers and is survived by her husband, Mark; sister, Cindy Davis; three beloved daughters, Ryan Wieczorek (Tim), Maggie Larche (Spencer), and August Marcilliat (Ames Williams); and six grandchildren, Kellan, Alex, and Fisher Wieczorek and Finn, Eleanor, and Ollie Larche.
A Visitation will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel to be followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We had the pleasure of meeting Mary for the first time at her daughter Ryan's wedding to my nephew Tim. Such a kind and gracious mother of the bride. I have heard many stories of how wonderful and fun she was. My heart goes out to all her family and friends. May she always rest in peace.

With love beyond measurement, and to honor my sister-in-law and dearest friend for 50 years, I share this Irish quote.
"Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.”

I met Mary's daughter, Ryan, in middle school, when they were living in Tuscaloosa AL. We stayed friends after they moved back to Florida and I went to their house many times. Mary was just one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and I always felt comfortable visiting them. I'm sorry to all of her family, she left behind a great legacy.

Mary was my cousin’s wife. We always went to family get togethers when we were in Pensacola. We moved and I didn’t see her much after that. She was so sweet always. She had a soft spoken voice. I really loved her.

I had the privilege of working with Mary for many years at the Rehabilitation Institute. She was always a pleasure to work with and eager to help. I know she loved Jesus because we had a discussion one day. There is Peace in Jesus. May all the memories bring you peace.

Dear Mark, Ryan, Maggie, and August, I am so sorry for your loss of dear sweet Mary. I remember her beauty, kindness, and compassion. No doubt her passing will leave an ache in your heart, but I hope also you can continue to carry forward some of that beautiful light that she carried with her. Mary and I started the latest chapter in our career together. She was a kind and gentle lady. We shared a lot of laughs and bonded over life experiences as both nurses and moms. Mary’s family was her everything. I am so very sorry for your loss. We were friends. May her memory be a blessing. Peace to you all.
