Mary Miller Obituary

Mary E. Miller went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, December 29, 2025 after a courageous 6-year battle with cancer.  She was born on June 10, 1957 in Topeka, IN to the late Amos and Anna (Helmuth) Miller.  On May 26, 1979, Mary married the love of her life, Ken Miller.

Mary leaves behind her husband Ken Miller of Plymouth, IN; two children: Eric Miller of Plymouth and Ann (Thad) Hochstetler of Bremen, IN; five grandchildren: Jabari Hochstetler, Gunnar (Berlin) Hochstetler,  Layla Hochstetler and Karson Hochstetler; 2 sisters: Ada Mae (Herman) Miller and Katie Anna (Alvin) Miller.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Glen, Harley, Jake, Amos Jr. and Delbert Miller; and her sisters: Carolyn Borkholder and Lydia Ellen Miller.

The greatest joys in Mary’s life were Jesus and her family.  She was proud of her children and supported them in their dreams and endeavors; she was their biggest cheerleader. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy. Mary attended Nappanee Missionary Church and loved the small church she and Ken attended.  Mary was creative. She loved thrifting and antiquing.  She enjoyed decorating and offering her home as her family’s safe haven.  Mary enjoyed tending to her chickens and flowers.  She loved to travel with Ken; time away with him was especially precious and meaningful to her.

Mary will be remembered as a selfless, kind, generous, and loving spirit.  She gave of herself generously and would do anything for those she loved.  She will be missed more than words can express.  Mary strived to be a light for Jesus wherever she went.  She wanted everyone to know and believe in the saving grace of Jesus.  She served Him to the best of her ability while she waited on Him to call her Home.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel (Enter Door H) and from 9-10 am on Saturday, January 3, 2026 also in the NMC Chapel.  A funeral service will begin at 10 am Saturday in the Chapel and burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Mary’s name can be given to the Nappanee Missionary Church.
