Mary Elizabeth Nida

1924 - 2025

The Lord called Mary Elizabeth Nida home on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 101. She was born to the late Lawrence and Sylvia Christian of Springhill, WV. 

Mary was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and she was the most humble and loyal and caring person to all that knew her. She was a long-time member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the community of Pensacola. She worked as a secretary for Reichold Chemical for many years and was also employed with the Navy Exchange as well. 

Everyone knew that her two sons Dale and Bill were the apple of her eyes and meant so much to her. Mary touched many lives, and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, spouse and siblings.

Survivors include her two sons, Bill Nida (Debbie) and Dale Nida (Jo Marie); grandchildren, Tracy Cooper (Erik), Chris Nida (Beth), Haley Horne (Bugsy), David Coles, and Dale Nida, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Keli Jo, Kyle, Will, Alex, and Flynn; as well as two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until a Funeral Service begins at 2:00pm Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Dan Baughman officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
