Mary Pratt Obituary
Mrs. Mary Kistler Gantt Pratt, age 78, of Stockbridge, passed away on March 23, 2023. She was a member of The Red Hat Society, First Baptist Church of Jonesboro where she knitted items for their Missions Ministry and she also worked in the Children’s Nursery. She was a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bedford Pratt; her parents, Esley Ezell and Georgia Oveta Roberts Gantt; siblings, Esley Eugene Gantt, Laura Elizabeth Gantt Kolarik, Betty Carolyn Gantt Wisher, and Doris Gantt Mills. She is survived by her children, Ernest Gordon (Mary) Pratt of FL, Laura Leigh Pratt (Carm Christopher) LaSalle; sister, Martha Nan Gantt Meeks of Columbus; grandchildren, Maura Leigh Pratt, Carm Charles LaSalle and Cole Christopher LaSalle. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. In lieu of flowers make contributions in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/memorial to donate. My sweet friend, Mary was a joy to know! Her smile lit up a room! She always had some advice for whatever my situation! I loved her, my Red Hat Sister, like a sister and miss her and Ernie. Those two dear friends did a lot for Brad and me. Pray God will comfort the family, giving them peace. RIP
