Mary LOU Smith

1934 - 2026

Mary Lou Jarvis Smith passed away at her home on March 24, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born on July 10, 1934, to Grover Jarvis and Tabitha Riggs Jarvis. She was a member of Cullendale First Baptist Church Camden, AR. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Horace D. Smith and a son Larry Don Smith and a brother, Jimmy D. Jarvis. 

She is survived by her brother, Fred Jarvis and wife, Nelda of Camden, AR; one brother-in-law, Maxwell Smith and wife, Peggy of Sallis, MS; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Gentery of Little Rock, AR and Sybil Ward of Texarkana, AR.  She is also survived by two special “go to for help in her time of need” nieces: Ann Beale and Becky Minor both of Camden. Mary had a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and many great friends. 

The family would like to thank Tanya, Judy, and Denise and the hospice team for their great care givers in her last days. 

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2026, at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw, AR. Bro. Danny Crowder will officiate the service.
