Mary Edna Spikes

1947 - 2025

Deaconess Mary Edna Spikes, aged 78, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025,
surrounded by her loving family. In her fruitful life, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, prayer partner, church leader, and woman of God.

She was born on October 12, 1947, into the union of the late Norman and Willie Mae
Jordan. Mary accepted Christ in her early 20s at a tent revival in Vidalia, GA where she was
raised. She received her associate’s degree in accounting from Southeastern Technical College
in 2001. She worked at Oxford Industries for over 20 years. She then spent 20 years at
Walmart, where she retired. She was a devoted and faithful member of the House of God Church in Uvalda, GA where she served faithfully as a Deaconess.

She was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 42 years, Elder Charles B. Spikes; six
siblings, Robert Lee Jordan, Evelyan Jordan, Auther Lee Jora, Joe Nathan Jordan, Diann
Bryant, and Louella Davis; and one granddaughter, Brittany Wright.

She leaves to carry on her legacy of love and holiness two daughters, Patricia (Monti)
Marsters and Nikisha Wright; two siblings, Lorinza (Alteria) Jordan and Gail (Tommy)
Hudgeon; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
