Mom, you and dad taught us about giving back. All 4 of your children have been compassionate volunteers and that legacy started with your example. We are seeing that kindness in our next generations also. From the time you created a mission box for us when we were very young to put our nickels and dimes in so we could afford to adopt a less fortunate family at Christmas to your Brownie and Girl Scout leadership, and in many other ways you showed us what was important to making our lives more meaningful. I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart.
