MaryJane (McCauley) Kelvey, 88, of Wallingford, loving wife of James Kelvey for 64 years, passed away February 4, 2022 at Masonicare.
She was born in Old Saybrook on July 9, 1933, a daughter of the late James and Maria (Donollo) McCauley.
MaryJane worked for 35 years as a nurse and later as a unit secretary at Gaylord Hospital. She loved cooking, gardening and entertaining family and friends. She was always ready for a game of Setback. She loved vacationing at the beach and visits back to her beloved hometown of Old Saybrook. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren.
MaryJane’s family would like to thank the Hospice staff at Masonicare for the care and compassion they gave to her and her family during her time there.
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by her daughters, Kim Sevarino and her husband, Kevin, Pamela Johnson and her husband, Clayton, and Michele Albert and her husband, Brian; her brother, James McCauley; her grandchildren, James Burghoff, Christopher Burghoff, Craig Johnson, Spencer Johnson, Kaleigh Albert, Zachary Albert, Michael Sevarino, Nicholas Sevarino and Laura Vogt; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph McCauley, Nancy Lombardi and Robert McCauley.
MaryJane’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 1 pm until 4 pm. Interment in All Saints Cemetery will be private.
