Maurice Richard 71, of Beaumont, TX passed June 27, 2020.
A Public Viewing will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 8AM until 9:30AM. Private Funeral will begin at 10AM at Proctor’s Mortuary 3520 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, TX. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Beaumont TX.
Maurice Timothy Richard was born November 21, 1948 in Beaumont, TX.
He attended Charlton Pollard, but shortly after that he started working at Dixie Transport which in inspired him to want to drive trucks. Maurice drove trucks for multiple companies and, also taught others who wanted to learn how to drive. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Mill for 30 years where he retired in 2019.
Maurice probably knew everyone in the Beaumont because he never met a stranger. He could sit back and talk to you all day about trucks. Weather it was a dump truck or an 18-wheeler he could tell you anything about it. Besides having a love for trucks her loved cracking jokes, watching westerns and spending time with his family and friends. When he had the time, he would participate in truck rodeos and would win first place trophies. He also had a distinct laugh that stood out in a crowd that would let you know that he was around.
He is preceded in death by his Mother; Marylee Bell, Sister; Fayetta Zachary, Brother; Charles Richard, Brother-in-law Edward Jackson.
He is survived by his loving Wife; Linda Jackson-Richard, Sons; Steven Talmore (Tiffanie), Timothy Richard, Jackoby (Vikki), Daughters Stephanie Talmore, Stacey Talmore (Melvin), Laketha Harrison (Herbert), Latretha Lavine (Sidney), Brothers; Peter Marks Jr, Johnny Marks (Melody), Michael Marks, Donald Marks (Janice), Reginald Marks Sr. (Iker), Kevin Marks, Kenrick Marks, Sisters; Geraldine Broussard (Alfred), Glory Dean, Brother-in-laws; Durvin Coward (Maxine), L.G. Stevens, John Stevens (Debra), Shelton (Shelia), Sister-in-laws; Carolyn Sias, Patricia Arvie (Jerry), Celia Scott, Aunt Ella Giles (Bernard), Godson; Edmond Dean, 14 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
