Michael Hamann Obituary
Michael Alan Hamann, age 67, of Eldridge, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Eldridge. A private family graveside service will be held in Durant Cemetery, Durant. Memorials may be given to the Scott County Public Library in Eldridge, Iowa.
Michael was born in Davenport, Iowa on November 10, 1953, the son of Lawrence and Gloria (Schukar) Hamann. He graduated from North Scott High School with the Class of 1973. Mike was an avid reader. He could be seen walking daily to the Scott County Public Library in Eldridge. He enjoyed reading World War II history and anything pertaining to trains and railroads. He also enjoyed reading and collecting DC Comic Books.
Mike will be dearly missed by his mother, Gloria; sisters, JoDee (Scott Petersen) Sorgenfrey and Karen (Stan) Price both of Durant, IA and Merri (David) Leigh of Long Grove, IA; his brothers, Jay (Brenda) Hamann, Andrew (Wendy) Hamann, Wade (Linda) Hamann and Ward (Carol) Hamann all of Eldridge, IA; twenty nieces and nephews, thirty-one great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence; an infant brother, Jamie, his sister, Dawn Schneckloth, his nephews, Dane Schneckloth and Jarin Satterly.

I am a librarian who enjoyed getting to know Mike. He was always kind, courteous and curious. He will be missed. My prayers are with you in this difficult time.
