Michael J. Manfreda

Michael J. Manfreda, age 71, a longtime resident of Beacon Hill, Boston, MA, passed away on March 14, 2023, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Wallingford, CT, on December 28, 1951, he was a son of the late Margaret Dunn Manfreda and the late Dr. Joseph M. Manfreda.

Mr. Manfreda was a proud graduate of The College of The Holy Cross (BA, 1974) and Suffolk University (JD, 1977). Admitted to the Bar in 1977, he began his career with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Boston. In 1979, he established the Law Offices of Michael J. Manfreda where he practiced until the time of his death. He specialized in general practice, criminal law, and civil trial law. He was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, and Boston Bar Association.

He always considered his greatest legal accomplishments the cases in which he protected his clients and in doing so saved their futures and their families.

Michael was a passionate historian and student of politics, with a particular focus in European and American military battles causes and effects. He was a frequent guest lecturer at various veterans’ associations. A talented miniature artist, he created many one-of-a-kind pieces for family and friends. From the time he was a young boy, he was an avid train enthusiast along with his brother.

He is survived by his niece, Sarah Manfreda, and her two children, Mark Manfreda and Denver Supik. Michael was predeceased by his brother Mark B. Manfreda.
