Michael Mansell Obituary

Mike was born on July 14, 1955 in Vallejo, California at Mare Island Naval Base to Dudley and Joyce Mansell, then moved to Texas where he resided for the rest of his life. He loved being a Texan.  Mike worked at Cameron in the Oil and Gas Industry as an Engineering Supervisor before retiring in 2016.  He loved working at Cameron and was so proud to have been there almost 40 years. Mike married the love of his life, Debbie, on July 5, 1985.  She was the center of his life and his constant source of joy. They lived and raised their 3 children, Troy, Jaret and Kayla in Tomball, Texas. Mike’s interests included reading, wood working, amateur radio, computers and all things electronic. He also had a love of sailing, which he was able to enjoy in his younger years. Above all things, Mike had a deep love and passion for the Lord that was apparent to all who met him. His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ gave him strength to persevere through years of medical challenges. Mike often said that it was Christ who gave him strength, and that through Him, all things were possible. He loved the quote "God only provides enough light for one step at a time."

Mike met his Savior in heaven at age 62 on Sunday, June 10, 2018.  He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Debbie; his children: Troy, Jaret and Kelly, Kayla and Garrett; Grandchildren: Noah, Abby, Caleb and Ryan; parents: Dudley and Joyce; sister: Debra and husband Barry; and many extended family members that he loved.

The visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00am at Klein Funeral Home – Magnolia, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, Texas, 77354. (281)252–3428.

I worked closely with Mike at Cameron Subsea for many years. He was so knowledgeable, and was always the first to mentor anyone interested in learning. His contributions helped make Cameron great, and he will be missed by everyone who got the opportunity to work with him. My deepest sympathies to his family for their loss.
