Michael McKissic, II (Lansing) Obituary
Michael was a resident of the city of Lansing, Michigan. He was a graduate of J.W. Sexton High School and was employed with Peckam. Michael was currently employed with McKissic Construction Company. He loved basketball, art and fixing his ?old school 88?. Michael was one who was loved by many and loved his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two god-daughters, Jah?Niyah and Sa?Niyah Carthell (aka ?mamas?; his parents, Michael & Sherry; grandparents, Lonnie and Odell McKissic; three sisters, Anika Brown, Natasha Hall and Imani Abdul-Malik; one brother, Corey Morris;seven nieces, Aiyana, Amiyah, Talarra, Analah, Alorie, Aaliyah, Talayjah;three nephews, Gervon, Fredrick and Larry; three aunts, Barbara Smith, Carla Hall-Milton and Margaret Hall; six uncles, Lonnie McKissic Jr., Edward McKissic, Ray McKissic, Steven Hall, Terry Hall and Donald Milton Sr.; godmother, Constance; a host of cousins; many other relatives including special friends, Jamon ?GMoney? Carthell, Courtland Harris, James McAbee ?Unc?, Ashley and Martaun .
Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlene Hall and his favorite auntie, Faye McKissic.
The family would like to express special thanks to everyone that gave a little hug, food (a lot of that), a shoulder to cry on and so much love. Special, special thanks to Edward and Trudy McKissic. Only God can grant you two His true blessing for all that you?ve done.

Knowing the depths of pain of such a loss, having lost our second son,Tommy, whose birthday August 6, 1965 was fifty years ago today we found news of Mikey's passing late tonight. My bruised heart goes out to you both and your family and friends and may God's tender mercies lift your spirits in the long days and nights ahead, mother and father left behind, so burdened with this loss. Tommy's father, brother and myself pray for you in your bereavement. Your dear Michael has gone ahead to makes a place for you near his grandmother, where in loving patience they will await you.
