Michelle Callahan Sanders

1964 - 2026

Michelle Callahan Sanders, wife, friend, an Eternal Companion to Michael Keith Sanders, passed quietly away Thursday morning March 26, 2026, at their home in Holly Ridge, NC after battling Frontotemporal Dementia.  She was 61.  She was a graduate of NCSU and a proud Wolfpack.

Michelle leaves behind her husband Micheal and 6 children (Elizabeth, Rebecca, David, Christina, Heather, and Rachel) and eleven grandchildren all whom she greatly loved and enjoyed. She is the daughter of Thomas and Billie Callahan of Sandy, Utah.  Michelle also has three sisters and three brothers.  

Michelle has a strong love and Testimony of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Michelle served a Proselytizing Mission in Italy for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She loved her grandchildren especially and was always happy to be with them.  She loved to read and enjoyed live performances of the Arts, especially the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, Utah where she would try to attend each year.  She loved the beach, and going out on the kayaks, and reading.  She loved animals, she loved much and worked hard.

She and her smile will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at The Latter-Day Saints cemetery in Hampstead. 

The family wishes to thank Heather Wallace and Trammell Davis for the compassion and care shown to Michelle and her family.
