Milton Lee Andrews was born on September 23, 1951, in Roanoke. VA, the son of the late Deacon Donald and Arcelia Andrews. He transitioned from this life to glory on August 11, 2021, at The Salem VA Medical Center where he spent his latter days humoring the staff and finding peace and contentment knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Milton received his formal education in Roanoke City Public Schools, graduating from William Fleming High School, Class of 1969. He attended Norfolk State University and later completed his Associate's Degree in Business Management from National Business College. Milton was appointed by Governor Wilder as a licensed barber examiner for the State Barber Board in Richmond, Virginia. In the 90s. he accepted the calling on his life to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With this mantle, he understood that wisdom was the principal thing and began relentlessly pursuing an understanding of the Word, completing a Masters in Divinity from Bethlehem Bible College under the tutelage of Dr. Thomas Woods.
He was the co-founder of Romans 8:1 Licensed Daycare/Ministry with his late wife Johnetta A. Couser Andrews. After her passing, he remarried Evangelist Daisy Savage-Andrews of Newport News, VA, and continued the vision of Romans 8:1 Ministries. Friend, William “Will” Smith, brought Minister Andrews into the radio community with catchphrases like, “Now Hype That!” and “Am I Right About It?” Later both Evangelist Milton and Daisy Andrews served on the ministerial staff at Garden of Prayer #7 Vision of Faith Ministries and led a 4-year bi-weekly radio program on WTOY 1480 entitled- Romans 8:1 Ministries.
Evangelist Milton Andrews has now entered into eternal life, but leaves to carry on his cherished memory, his wife, Evangelist Daisy Savage-Andrews; son, Brian (Crystal) Andrews, both of Roanoke, daughter, Angela Y. Andrews (Michael) Brown, of Woodbridge; grandchildren, Xavier and Gabriel Brown; Lalani and Lakota Andrews; brothers, Ernest, Everett, Michael, and Paul Andrews; nephews, close cousins, and a host of relatives, church family, and friends. He is preceded by his beloved sister Patricia Andrews Baker and brother Bernard Andrews.

We the members of the Lucy Addison Class of 1969 offer our prayers as you celebrate the life of Milton. We reflect back prior to integration when Milton lived on 6th Street and went to Harrison Elementary, what days they were!
Afterwards we attended different schools but we always stayed in touch. After all these years Milton lives on a Street again but this one is a Street of Gold! We’ll see you in the morning.
