The funeral service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 P. M. in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Henderson, Georgia.

Mr. Curtis was a rare gem in today's world. Never saw him angry, always willing to help, always had a good word to say to everybody. He was a good man, and will be missed.

I have known the Whitfield family all my life and every one of them has always been pleasant to be with. Curtis was no exception. I have been away from this area for many years, but have thought of Curtis many times and have remembered his gentle ways. If the world could be filled with people like Curtis, this would be a very fulfilling place to live. I know he will be missed by all who knew and loved him and I will keep the memory of his integrity close to heart. The Whitfield family is in my thoughts and prayers.
