Mr. Dale Delano Callaway Obituary

Mr. Dale Delano Callaway was born on June 26,1974 in Flint, Michigan the son of Joyce Callaway, Clyde Callaway, and Patricia Callaway.  Dale was employed by General Motors in Arlington, Texas.  He was a member of the Potter’s House Church in Dallas Texas.  He enjoyed fishing, watching movies, playing football, making people laugh, eating food, dressing up, and beatboxing.


Mr. Dale Delano Callaway leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Imani Callaway and Dariah Wall-Callaway, 1 stepchild, Tralayah White, 1 grandchild, Averi Jones, Fiancé, Lanisha James,  1 sister, Lakeisha Williams, 2 brothers, Joel Childress and Fredrick Spearman, 1 niece, Ja’Kiera Hawkins, 4 nephews, Ja’Quavius Carroll, Ja’Kari Childresss-Hall, Uriah Harris, and Malik Manuel, 2 uncles, Alan Callaway and Kelvin Callaway, and a host of aunts and cousins, special relatives and friends, aunt, Ella Gaines, best friends, Todd Edmonds, Chalan Gibson, William Hill, and Brooke Rogers from Texas,  goddaughter, Taylor Edmonds, Pastor Anne Ferguson, god grandmother, godmother, Betty Edmonds.


Mr. Dale Delano Callaway was preceded in death by mother, Patricia Callaway, father, Clyde Callaway, sister, Helen Harris, grandparents, AC Callaway and Helen Callaway, and Evelyn and Harrison Callaway Sr.


The family would like to express special thanks to Southeast Christian Church of the Apolstolic Martin J. Banks/Legacy Funeral Chapel, and staff, Flint Northern High School Class of “93” and to everyone that showed condolences and words.

Dale, my godson! When he passed unexpectedly, indeed, it was difficult to process the grief as I (among many other people) was overcome with shock & emotion!

Having a great impact in his life, I feel honored to have had a part in help molding & shaping his life with love, time, teaching/advising, etc. (since he was about 7 years old)!

He & my son, Todd Edmonds, were very tight friends for about 40 years--an unbreakable bond even thru challenging times!

Yes, Dale went from a human being to a memory but a memory that will forever be prevalent & treasured!

Son, U will always be deeply loved & missed! You left us too soon but only God knows why! Rest peacefully in the Lord!
