With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Faye Josey Snell, age 67, of Leakesville, who entered her heavenly home on February 19, 2026, at Asbury Hospice House.
Brenda was born on November 6, 1958, in Leakesville to Lloyd and Helen Josey. A lifelong resident of her beloved hometown, she built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Brenda dedicated 27 years of faithful work to Coastal Family Health Clinic, where she retired as office manager. Through her professionalism, compassion, and steady leadership, she touched the lives of countless patients and coworkers.
A devoted member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Brenda found great joy in her faith. She loved singing and praising the Lord, and she was an active and faithful presence in her church family. Her beautiful spirit, warm smile, and servant’s heart were a blessing to all who knew her.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Helen Josey
Above all, Brenda treasured her family. She shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Terry Snell. She was a proud and devoted mother to Kimberly Snell of Wiggins, Jason (Asheley) Snell of Wiggins, Jennifer Taylor of Petal, and Trey (Jasmine) Snell of Leakesville. Her grandchildren—Garrett Taylor, Gracie Snell, Bethanie Snell, Gabriella Snell, Graysen Snell, and Braelynn Snell—were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda (Ron) Helms.
Funeral services celebrating Brenda’s wonderful life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2026 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Foster officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Monday, also at the church.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Brenda’s faith was strong and her hope was secure. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

This is hard, losing Brenda is like losing a family member. Brenda was there for me when my best friend & her mom was killed in a car accident. She came to tell me in person b/c she didn't won't me to find out unexpectedly. She was with us when Daddy passed away. I enjoyed babysitting her 3 kids. She bought my baby's 1st Easter dress, that was 32 years ago. Love this family. Love y'all, Timothy,Patrice and Forrest
