Cassie Lynn Davis Cole was one of eighteen children born to Willie Davis and Ella Mae Taylor Davis on August 29, 1950, in Beaumont, Texas.
She grew up in the South End neighborhood of Beaumont, attended local schools, and participated in the Job Corps program. She later resided in Detroit, Michigan, where she obtained her high school diploma.
Cassie accepted Christ at a young age and was a longtime member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She was a deeply spiritual person who loved her family dearly.
Her personality, characterized by a caring nature, was reflected in her career choice as a healthcare provider, where she lovingly cared for her patients.
Cassie answered her Father's call as she passed away on November 1, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont to begin her eternal journey from her earthly labor to her Heavenly reward.
Her children cherish beautiful memories of her, including Tyrone Sears, Harvey Sears, and Sherrill Bellamy; her sisters, Brenda Newton and Maggie Davis; her grandchildren, Jonathan W. Criss, Cassie Cunningham, Randall Criss, Tyrisha Cunningham, Brandon Bellamy, Alayna Bellamy, and Alexis Bellamy, her great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

I send my deepest condolences to the family of Mrs. Cassie. She was one of my customers at Reliable Copy Service. We would talk about her family all the time. She had a very caring and giving spirit.
I pray the family have peace by whispering or shouting Jesus name.

Brenda, Maggie, and to the rest of Cassie’s family, Connie, Percy and I would be remiss if we didn’t share a few words to you, in the passing of our childhood friend and neighbor! Maggie and some of the other sibling, baby sat, us, for my mother, many years ago, when we all lived in the Southend, of Beaumont! Cassie and Gloria were our classmates and after we moved, across town and graduated from High School, our paths never crossed, again, and that was unfortunate! But, at this time, we’d like to express our deepest sympathy in Cassie’s passing, knowing that just as she was loved, in life; she will forever be loved and remembered in death!❤

Dear Grandma Cassie,
You will always hold a special place in your granddaughters heart. I wish I had been able to visit you more and spend more time with you before your passing, but I’ll always cherish the memories we shared together. I know how much my mother Sherrill loved and cared for you. She always tried her hardest to be the best daughter and only daughter she could be to you, making sure all your needs and desires were met, and I know you were so proud of her. Your love and strength live on through all of us. Rest peacefully, Grandma. You are deeply loved and missed.
With Love ,
Alayna
