Nancy Mae Biddle

1935 - 2011

Nancy Mae Biddle of Townsend, DE passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, December 9, 2011.

Born in New Castle County on May 2, 1935, she was the daughter of Roy Warfield Willey and Hazel Alma Abbott. Nancy attended Middletown High School. She was co-owner of Green Forest Nurseries and Biddle Equipment. She was a homemaker who loved to decorate her home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and beloved sister. Family was paramount in her life, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and remembered for her kind heart. Nancy was always there to help her family in need.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her brothers, John and Donald Willey, and her sisters Gloria, Shirley, & Karlen. She was preceded by her grandson Jimmy John Biddle, and great grandson, Joseph Robert Kuhnle. She was married to Earl Biddle, Jr. for 53 years (who passed away in 2008).

She leaves many cherished memories to her children, Earl Biddle III and wife Alesia of Smyrna, DE Charles H. Biddle and wife Nancy of Townsend, DE two daughters, Connie Pepper and husband Jack of Townsend, DE and Kimberly Keeler and partner Alvin Miller of Townsend, DE; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a brother Robert Willey of Bear, a sister Kathleen Hendrickson of Hartley, DE a brother David Willey of Townsend, DE a sister Susan Devecchis of Lancaster, PA and a sister Mary Retz of Catron, MO.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 15th at 11 am at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, DE where family and friends may call Wednesday from 7 – 9 pm and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in Old Bohemia Cemetery, Warwick, MD.
