Nancy Ann (Vierling) Henderson 1/18/1952 - 12/17/2021

On December 17th 2021, Nancy Ann (Vierling) Henderson joined her parents and other heavenly family members after battling colorectal cancer for the past few years. She was 69.

Nancy, affectionately known as Nan to those that were close to her, was born and raised in Louisville, with time also lived in Somerset, KY and Frankfort, KY. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and attended Jefferson Community College and Somerset Community College to receive her nursing degrees. She served as a nurse for the entirety of her career, working in the emergency room, ICU/CCU, the cardiac cath lab, and kidney dialysis. 

Nancy was a fun-loving spirit who enjoyed time with friends and family. She had great love for all the animals and grand-animals that become a part of her family over the years. She was also a worthy backgammon and rummy opponent, often winning games including her last. She will first and foremost be remembered as a devoted mother to her daughter Grace. Nancy and Grace enjoyed laughing, traveling, playing board and card games, and exploring together.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Harold (better known as Brud) and Betty Vierling. 

She is survived by her daughter, Grace Henderson; her sister Donna Stuppy (Bud) and their children Bryan & Corinne; her brother Michael Vierling (Connie) and Michael’s son Alex; and Grand-dogs Lucky, Gaia and Karma.

She is loved and will be greatly missed. 

A memorial visitation for Nancy will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home. Friends and family members that wish to speak are welcome.
